Sustainable Environment - Circular Cup X Taipei Marathon

The hundreds of thousands of PE-coated paper cups and plastic bottles used to hold water and sports drinks in the supply stations of marathon race are still the largest source of waste in the event. President Packaging and Chung Hwa pulp corporation work together to participate in the Sponsorship of 2021 Taipei Marathon, 28,000 runners used more than 550,000 non-plastic paper cups throughout the course.

Replacing the original coated paper cup with the non-plastic paper cup "Circular Cup" is equivalent to saving 22,150 PET bottles of plasticized materials, and all paper cups will be recycled after the race. The recycled fiber can be remade into general paper products, making the Marathon Running events are no longer environmental killers, and incorporate the concept of sustainable environmental protection.
